After School Nature Camp

For  ages 7 – 12
Children are headed back to school – virtually, for most. What this means is a lot of necessary screen time and confinement; not the end of the world, but children still connection with the natural world. Our forests and prairie have no walls to confine or screens to watch– just plenty of fresh air, exploration and fun. To that end, we are tentatively planning after-school nature camps. Camps are planned keeping the health and safety of our campers and everyone in the River Bend community as our top priority, with guidance from the CDC, the American Camp Association, and Racine County Health Department.
Camp will be held outdoors and size will be limited.  Activities may include canoe/kayak, environmental education activities, bushcraft, and plenty of unstructured time exploring and enjoying nature.
Camp sessions are one week in length  (M-F), from 2pm – 5pm  Weekly Sept. 7 through Oct. 30
Cost –  $90 River Bend Members /   $100 Non-Members per session.  Registrations are on a first come/first serve basis.
